TROUBLESHOOTING COMMON PROBLEMS

Your hearing instrument should be comfortable both in terms of physical fit and loudness tolerance. If at any time it is uncomfortable or the solutions listed below do not solve your problem, please contact your hearing healthcare professional to schedule an appointment to have it checked.

1. The hearing instrument starts out fine but isn't as loud later in the day.

Many times this has to do with moisture build up on internal components. Contact your hearing healthcare professional to obtain a dry aid kit.

2. The hearing instrument is dead.

Check for fresh batteries. If the hearing instrument has a volume control, be sure the volume control is in the "on" position. Also, check the microphone and receiver openings for debris and clean the opening(s) if needed.

3. The hearing instrument sounds muffled and not as loud as it once was.

Check the microphone and receiver openings for debris and clean the opening(s) if needed.
