EAR IMPRESSION

After discussing your test results and determining the best hearing instrument solution for your hearing loss, the next step is to create a replica of your ear. This replica, called an ear impression, is required for the manufacturing of your custom hearing instrument or earmould. An ear impression is made by injecting a soft silicone material into your ear canal and outer portion of your ear. The material hardens after a few minutes providing a detailed replica of your ear. The impression is removed and used to make the shell of a hearing instrument or earmould that will fit your ear comfortably.
